FRIDAY, JULY 8, 5:00 PM -- JOIN US ON THE SANTA FE PLAZA TO PROTEST ISRAEL, GREECE, AND THE U.S. BLOCKING FREEDOM FLOTILLA II FROM SAILING TO GAZA.
Ken Mayers and Linda Durham, Santa Fe residents and passengers on the U.S. Boat to Gaza, The Audacity of Hope, are home and will speak at the rally.
Greece, acting under intense pressure from Israel and the U.S., has prevented Freedom Flotilla II from sailing, and stopped the U.S. Boat to Gaza from delivering its cargo of thousands of letters of love and support to the people of Gaza.
For more than four years, Israel has imposed a land, sea, and air blockade on Gaza, denying its 1.6 million residents adequate access to food, clean water, electricity, medical supplies, reconstruction materials, and basic necessities.
The Obama Administration has supported the blockade by supplying weapons to Israel and shielding Israel from scrutiny and accountability for its actions.
