The Arab Spring and Palestine: Transformation over Revolution--A New Palestinian Strategy

Sara Roy is senior research scholar at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University, and has been described as "the leading researcher and most widely respected academic authority on Gaza today." Roy movingly and eloquently wrote about being the daughter of Holocaust survivors in her essay, Living with the Holocaust: The Journey of a Child of Holocaust Survivors.

Dr. Roy has written over 100 articles on Palestine and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict which have appeared in the Journal of Palestine Studies, Current History, Middle East Journal, Middle East Policy, International Journal of Middle East Studies, American Political Science Review, Le Monde Diplomatique, the London Review of Books, and many other publications. Roy's books include The Gaza Strip: The Political Economy of De-development and Failing Peace: Gaza and the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict. Her most recent book, Hamas and Civil Society in Gaza, was published this May.
